Free West Papua supporters gathered at the Port Vila Bauerfield International Airport in the afternoon of May 15, 2012 to protest against the arrival of the Indonesian military aircraft carrying supplies for the Vanuatu Police Force.
Despite the peaceful nature of the protest, police used force, hitting the protestors, shoving them into a caged vehicle and driving off to the police station. The arrested protestors will remain locked up overnight.
The video shows the protestors been taken away by the police. In the first 30 seconds of the video, the microphone was unfortunately switched off. The expat that took the video stated that the police officer approaching him said: 'You can't film here, go away. This is our country, why are you here?'
