Jakarta, The leaders of the churches in Papua
declared independence and sovereignty of the region already crystallized
related to the systematic violence that still occurs in the territory of Papua

"With the Papuan nationalism that has

people's desire for independence and sovereign has been crystallized,"
says Jemima at the meeting.
The meeting was conducted in the library at
the residence of the President, accompanied by Vice President Boediono and
several ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet volume II.
Jemima said that in order to address
nationalism babies born in the context of government who faced violence, gereha
leaders in Papua have Church leaders issued a Joint Communique on January 10,
2011 and the Declaration of Theology on January 26, 2011.

In addition, church leaders also wanted the
central government to withdraw troops from Papua non-organic, free political prisoners;
and Revoking Government Regulation no. 77/2007 on regional emblem which
prohibits the use of symbols nuanced separatists in Aceh, Maluku and Papua.
